A Message From Our President

Winter Greetings!

It may be cold outside but take the opportunity to heat up your brain. As you examine this spring catalog you’ll find many courses, new and repeats, to stimulate your thinking. Registration for the semester begins January 4 so mail or walk-in quickly to secure your favorite courses. Remember that some courses close very quickly. The A.L.L. office will be open from 8:30 – Noon daily to accommodate you.

This spring we offer you 63 courses, some old favorites, some new. Registration this semester will be by mail or walk-in beginning January 4. Remember some classes close quickly so send in your registration early - don’t wait 3 weeks only to find your choices are closed. Please send your registration materials early.

I hope I’ll see you at our wonderful Winterim Program January 12, 13, and 14 – it’s not too late to register and walk-ins are welcome!

Finally we will be reorganizing the desk volunteers this semester and possibly the hours of operation. If you have not volunteered before, this would be a great place to start. It provides an opportunity to get to know and interact with others. If you would like to volunteer please call me or Vice President Andy Sterge (508) 362-0357 and leave your name and number. We will contact you later this month and invite you to an orientation meeting. Please help, we need you!

Enjoy your winter break and I look forward to seeing you all when classes begin.

Beth Friend, President

From our Curriculum Chair

The winter/spring term is fast approaching, and we are offering 63 courses, of which 10 are new. While this term is our quieter one we hope you will take the opportunity to stimulate your intellectual appetite during the winter doldrums. The Old Farmer’s Almanac predicts a milder than normal winter so take advantage, get out and explore “Native American Lore”, the “Geology of Cape Cod”, “Shakespeare At the Movies” and a host of other courses that we know will be far

more pleasurable than the usual television mindlessness. We hope to see you starting the week of

February 1 for a challenging meeting of the minds.

Steve Blume, Curriculum Committee Chairperson

WELCOME TO A.L.L!
